One Door

A single-stop location to find needed help from the variety of services available in the Greene, Christian and Webster Counties was previously know as Central Intake.  Different name, same number.

Central Intake NumberPlease post this number. One Door 417-225-7499

One Door is staffed by two case workers who will do an assessment of those who are asking for help.  Those may be people who are homeless or who need services to avoid becoming homeless: rental assistance, mental health professionals, help with utilities, family violence facilities, youth services, training, food, etc. One Door has no funds available but may be able to help by referring those who qualify with agencies in Springfield.

Ways One Door Can Help Your Church

Your Church Can Help

1. Refer people with any need you can’t meet to walk-in at the office at 420 E Pacific St. or to call for an appointment at 417- 225-7499.

2. Allow One Door to do your assessment of the need. List your willingness to help after One Door completes their assessment of the situation and evaluates a need. One Door would call you if they have someone to refer who meets the criteria you provide for such things as utilities assistance, gasoline vouchers, etc.

3. Have One Door distribute the funds you have for specific needs. You can designate funds for any specific use, such as bus passes, motel vouchers, rent, etc. (Checks should be made to “The Kitchen” and marked for “One Door” with further designation for specific use, if desired. Send to: The Kitchen, 420 E. Pacific St, Springfield, MO 65803). Or you can send checks to the Council of Churches PO Box 3947 Springfield MO  65808 and designae their use for example, "One Door" - "Bus passes", etc.
